On Wednesday night the Cy Young Award winners were announced. Jacob deGrom took home the award in the National League and Blake Snell in the American League.
American League runner-up Justin Verlander took to Instagram with a picture of himself holding his newborn baby girl. He certainly seemed to take missing out on the award well.
Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton, on the other hand didn’t take the loss quite as well. Although Justin made sure she didn’t go scorched earth, as she has done in the past.

It’s hard to argue with Snell taking home the award, he had an unbelievable season. A season that most years would had led the 90 win Rays to an AL East title.
