Justin Verlander took the ball for Game 1 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays.  As he’s done all season, the Houston Astros right-hander dominated his opponent.

Verlander went 7 innings, allowing just one hit, while striking out 8 and putting up a goose egg in the runs column.

After his strong performance he was seen waving to his wife, Kate Upton, and their daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander, who were enjoying the game from a suite.
