Timberwolves star center Karl-Anthony Towns was involved in a car accident on Thursday in Minnesota.  He was on his way to the airport at the time and had to catch a commercial flight to New York afterwards.

Towns is listed as questionable for Friday night’s game against the Knicks.

Via Star Tribune:

Saunders said Towns was able to take a commercial flight to New York after the accident and was at the team hotel resting. He did not take part in shootaround and is considered questionable for Friday’s game.

Saunders said the team did not have information on any specific injuries Towns may have suffered. The team listed him as questionable on the official injury report with “rest” as the reason for his appearance there.

According to ESPN, Towns has never missed a game in his four year career, starting all 303 games of his career.

We’d love to hear what caused the accident.  But until then we hope Towns is doing okay and if he wants to keep his streak going, we hope he’s able to do so.
