On Monday Carli Lloyd’s trainer revealed that an NFL team had reached out to her and offered her a roster spot to kick in a preseason game on Thursday. Most people supported the idea and could name at least one team that could use her kicking ability.
Chargers receiver Keenan Allen isn’t most people. He responded to a Sports Illustrated tweet that asked if Lloyd should pursue a career in the NFL by saying if she had a kick blocked it would look like the “stampede scene in the lion king movie.”
