According to Seth Davis, UCLA has reached out to Kentucky for permission to meet with Calipari. The Wildcats granted the request, but they clearly don’t want to lose him.

And no this is not an April Fools joke. UCLA asked Kentucky for permission to speak to Calipari and it was granted.

Why Kentucky would want to keep Calipari, let alone offer him a lifetime deal, is beyond me. His run in Kentucky is over.
Duke is in on the one and done game now and immediately outrecruited Kentucky last year. It’s time for Calipari to go enjoy the sunshine and spotlight of UCLA. It’s a match made in heaven.
