Saturday was Kentucky’s first game since former Wildcats quaterback Jared Lorenzen passed away earlier this summer.  The band paid tribute to the “Hefty Lefty” by forming a number twenty-two on the field.

The 38-year-old was a fan favorite back in 2000 to 2003 and finished his college career with 10,354 yards, 78 touchdowns through the air and another 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Lorenzen went onto play in the NFL and won a Super Bowl as Eli Manning’s backup with the Giants.
