Rockets guard James Harden is catching heat for his foul-drawing tactics following the controversial ending to Game 1 of Houston’s second round playoff game against the Warriors.

Harden got support for his style of play from an unexpected place.  His former Thunder teammate and current Warrior star Kevin Durant was asked the criticism of Harden and said he doesn’t believe he cheats the game.

“I think everybody, once they get in the lane, they use little tricks to get their shots off. I don’t think he’s any different. He may bump guys off going to the rim, but everybody does that. I wouldn’t say that he’s found a way to cheat the rules, I wouldn’t say that.  I just think that he has his style of play, and it might not be what everybody might like to see, but it’s been effective and I don’t think he’s been cheating the game at all.”

I wonder if KD would be as supportive if the same question was asked about another one of his former teammates.  Something tells me he wouldn’t be as supportive of Russell Westbrook.
