As if losing out on Kevin Durant wasn’t bad enough for Knicks fans, the fact that owner James Dolan didn’t want to offer KD a max contract has to make it all that much worse.
That’s right, Durant wanted to play in New York and the Knicks lost out on the opportunity to sign him by refusing to offer him a max contract.
The Knicks pretty much decided where KD was going to sign for him.
The Knicks and owner Jim Dolan were not prepared to offer Kevin Durant a full max contract due to concerns over his recovery from the Achilles injury, league sources tell me and @wojespn. Knicks officials are in Los Angeles tonight, meeting with free agents such as Julius Randle.

Hey Knicks fans, it’s time to stop showing up for games. How many more reasons do fans need to turn their back on James Dolan and their franchise?
If Spike Lee shows up to a single game at Madison Square Garden next season then he is just in love with being miserable.
