Former #1 pick Kwame Brown is back in the news. Last time we checked in with Kwame, he was suing his former financial adviser for a boatload of money. You check out that story here.
Now the tables have turned, and he’s the one being sued. This comes via The Blast:
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jocelyn Vaughn sued Brown to establish paternity and seeking child support for their 4-year-old, 11-year-old and 16-year-old daughters.
She claims the former NBA star has admitted being the biological father and even signed their children’s birth certificates. But she claims he has not assisted her financially for the costs of raising the kids.
Vaughn wants Brown to submit to a DNA test to establish him as the legal father. She says that the kids have always lived primarily with her. She argues that Brown has enough money to pay monthly child support — despite never living up to the hype, Brown did earn over $60 million in his career — and wants the court to determine the amount.
Vaughn also wants him to pay her legal bills in the case. Vaughn and Brown have not spoken much publicly about their long-term relationship but in 2002, articles reference him having recently moved his hometown girlfriend (aka Vaughn) into his house and talked about her providing him stability. Brown has yet to respond to the case.

Kwame’s career earnings were $58.4 million, not exactly chump change. But we do know he’s fallen on hard times, suing his past financial managers.
We’re praying for you Kwame.
