Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray took to Twitter on Monday afternoon and announced that he was declaring for the NFL Draft.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Murray won’t end up choosing baseball.  The move keeps his dream of playing football in the NFL alive, but he has 72 hours to withdraw his name.

This gives the A’s a few more days to reach an agreement with their first round draft pick.  Murray is reportedly seeking $15 million from Oakland to abandon his football aspirations.

If I’m running the A’s I let Murray walk.  There are no guarantees that he will be worth an investment of $15 million.
