Boston Celtics superstar Kyrie Irving and Dexter Strickland played only half a season together at Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick High School. 

They were super tight, and continued their frienship well into their 20’s. 

And now we’re hearing this is how Kyrie met his new girlfriend Barbie. 

She used to date Strickland. 

We were the first to introduce the world to Kyrie’s girlfriend last month. 

Then we got some pictures of her and Kyrie together at Kyrie’s Invitational.

Strickland has since changed his name to Baden Jaxen, and currently plays in Qatar. 

Meanwhile, Kyrie is one of the world’s most famous athletes.

‘Barbie was also dating a French soccer player a few years ago, and our tipster tells us she even tried to learn French.

She apparently has a thing for athletes.
