Umpire Las Diaz is without a doubt one of the worst umpires in all of baseball.  That was on full display in Oakland on Friday night.

Diaz ended the Blue Jays and A’s game with a high strike three call.  The hitter, Ramon Laureano, stood at the plate in disbelief after the terrible call.

As Laureano stood at the plate trying to wrap his mind around the call, Diaz decided to turn around and said something to the A’s outfielder.  

It looks like it’s going to be a close race for the worst umpire of the season.  Angel Hernandez is always a strong contender for that award and he will certainly be in the mix again this year.  

But Las has jumped out to an early lead with his performance on Friday night.
