LeBron James and the Lakers got their season off to a start in Portland on Thursday night.  The King announced his arrival with a steal and a monster dunk.

Unfortunately for Lakers fans, the results were the same as last season and Los Angeles lost the game 128-119.

As for LeBron’s final stat line, he started his Lakers career with a double-double and led the team in scoring.  He scored 26 points, while grabbing 12 rebounds in 37 minutes.

Not a bad start for the 33-year-old superstar.  He probably would have much rather walked away with a win, but it’s a long season and they have time to figure things out.
