LeBron James missed the Los Angeles Lakers 122-119 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday due to a calf contusion.

The Lakers played their second straight contest after losing to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

James missed a game in November due to the same injury.

Rui Hachimura started in James’ place, along with D’Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, and Anthony Davis. Jarred Vanderbilt returned after missing Tuesday’s game with back spasms.

James is averaging 25.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.5 steals this season.

The Lakers rank sixth in the Western Conference with a 14-10 record. They won the league’s debut In-Season Tournament on Saturday with a victory over the Indiana Pacers.
