As the search for a cast of NBA players to fill the role of Ballers for Space Jam 2 proceeds, it looks as if LeBron James may have found his nam.

If you didn’t know, LeBron James was having some difficulty getting superstars to sign up for his movie.

Looks like one man is certainly interested.

When asked about the possibility, Lonzo says:

“You gotta ask him [LeBron]. He knows I’d love to be in it. So, we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”

Looks like the movie is being centered more around LeBron’s family, than a bunch of all stars.

Via THR:

“Those familiar with the script say Space Jam 2 will rely less heavily on a Dream Team of hoops luminaries than the Michael Jordan-led film, which saw more than a dozen real-life NBA stars cameo and grossed $231 million worldwide, not adjusted for inflation. Instead, LeBron’s family arc is key, with a yet-to-be-cast teen character named Dom as the second lead, sources say.”

Could this switch in direction of the film have something to do with LeBron’s issue procuring NBA talent?

Space Jam 2’s release date is July 16, 2021
