The Philadelphia 76ers interviewed Tyronn Lue for their head coaching vacancy Tuesday, sources told The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey.

Despite that, the position reportedly remains Mike D’Antoni’s to turn down.

It was reported last week that D’Antoni and Lue were the top candidates for the job. D’Antoni previously served as an assistant coach with the 76ers during the 2015-16 season. He parted ways with the Houston Rockets earlier in September after four years.

Lue, an assistant with the Los Angeles Clippers, met with the 76ers one day after the surprise departure of Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. Lue is widely believed to be a candidate to replace Rivers and is also reportedly set to meet with the Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans.

Lue’s sole tenure as a head coach came with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2016-18. Cleveland captured an NBA championship in his first season with the team.
