MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said Wednesday that he has finished his investigation into alleged sign-stealing practices by the Red Sox but has yet to write the formal report about his findings.

Appearing on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt, Manfred said the investigation has been pushed to the back-burner due to the coronavirus pandemic delaying the start of baseball’s regular season.

“We are done with the investigation,” Manfred said. “There has been a delay in terms of producing a written report just because I, frankly, have not had time to turn to it with the other issues. But we will get a Boston report out before we resume play.”

Manfred opened an investigation into the Red Sox in January after a report from The Athletic alleged Boston improperly used a video replay room to decode opponents’ signs during the 2018 season.
