Manny Machado hit his first home run as a member of the Dodgers on Thursday night in Atlanta. The shot was a no doubter off of Braves right hander Anibal Sanchez, who knew it was gone immediately.
It’s always a good feeling to get that first one as a member of a new team. The deep ball is the reason the Dodgers picked Machado up, the glove is a bonus.
If he starts to heat up at the plate the rest of the National League is in big trouble. The Dodgers won the game 8-2 and own a game and a half lead over the Diamondbacks in the NL West.
