Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter was ejected in the 11th inning of Monday’s game against the Pirates for yelling “you suck” at the third base umpire.  He was rung up after he tried to check his swing and the umpire said he went around.

The home plate umpire wasn’t happy with Carpenter’s criticism of his colleague and sent him to the showers early.

From the angle above it looks like Carpenter has a legit point.  That is not a swing and yelling you suck is not and worthy of an ejection.  In the end it didn’t make a difference as the Cardinals were able to get a run in the 11th and win the game 6-5.
