On February 28th, 2018, legendary running back Matt Forte announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons. The Chicago Bears honored both Forte and former teammate Devin Hester only two days ago, on April 23, 2018, during a press conference at Halas Hall.

The two players signed ceremonially one-day contracts to retire as members of the Bears.  Now Forte and his wife are already on to greener pastures, and according to his wife’s IG, they’re going to be on the Hallmark channel.

Nice looking family. He was a great running back, and very underappreciated. Not many as durable and consistent as Forte was. He will be missed on the field.
