Dodger first baseman Max Muncy hit an 0-2 fastball into the second deck in Philadelphia off of right-hander Vince Velasquez. He dropped the bat, watched and slowly started his home run trot.
Normally I would say Muncy should get one in his earhole the next time he stepped into the box, but Velasquez practically put the ball on a tee for Muncy.
Velasquez’s pitch caught way too much of the plate for an 0-2 pitch. Muncy’s 25th of the year tied the game in the top of the second inning.
