Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer is filthy.  He took his filth to the next level on Monday night against the Red Sox, when he struckout catcher Sandy Leon.

Leon swung and missed a pitch that ended up going through his legs.  That’s right, he struckout on a pitch that had no chance to ever make it over the plate.

The strikeout makes for one of the more unusual swings and misses you’re ever going to see at the major league level.  The fact that Scherzer got the strikeout on this pitch and it split Leon’s legs should make it worth another K if you ask me.
