Lions running back Kerryon Johnson missed this year’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Bears.  The 22-year-old was placed on injured reserve in late October with a knee injury.

The second year running back was enjoying an increase in touches through the first five plus games this season before suffering the knee injury.

Johnson could still return in time to get some more action before the end of the season, but there won’t be any postseason games for Detroit this season.

Although the 2019 season will go down as a disappointment on the field for the young running back and the Lions, it will mean more time to spend with his girlfriend, Ashley Marie Kelsey.

Suddenly a disappointing season doesn’t seem as bad.
