Mets General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen provided an update on pitcher Jacob deGrom, who did have an MRI on his elbow on Monday, despite conflicting reports over the weekend.

According to Van Wagenen, deGrom’s MRI was “good” and “clean.”

The Mets ace reportedly threw a bullpen on Monday without issue and will throw another one on Wednesday.  If there are no further isseues, deGrom is expected to take the mound on Friday against the Brewers.

That’s great news for deGrom.  As fun as it is to watch the Mets screw things up, it’s good to see they haven’t screwed up one of the best right-handers in the game.
