The sporting world pricked up their ears when Mike Tyson said he wanted to return to boxing.
‘Iron Mike’ remains one of the most recognisable faces in all of sport after rising to fame during the 1980s as a knockout artist and the youngest heavyweight champion in history.
But after three defeats during his final four professional fight as well as some worrying comments about his mental health, it was assumed that Tyson would never compete again.
However, Tyson seems to have done a complete 180 by suggesting he could return in exhibition matches, a prospect made all the more tempting by Evander Holyfield’s contemporaneous return.
The American told Facebook Gaming: “I feel unstoppable now. The gods of war have reawakened me. They’ve ignited my ego and want me to go to war again.”
