Hershey Bears winger Kale Kessy and Charlotte Checkers defenseman Derek Sheppard fought during a minor league hockey game in Pennsylvania this week.
After the two dropped gloves and circled each other at mid-ice, Kessy and Sheppard exchanged a few blows before the latter knocked out the former.
Kessy was unconscious, but awoke before being taken off the ice on a stretcher

Sheppard appeared to recognize the severity of the situation almost instantaneously, as he began calling for medics within a seconds of the knockout
Before going to the hospital, Kessy told teammates to win, which they did.
