Friday night was a big night for the New York Yankees.  They entered the night with a magic number of one to host the American League Wild Card game.  They also needed five home runs to set the single season team home run record.

Not to mention the fact that they were in Fenway with a chance to win a few games in Boston ahead of the postseason.  The Yankees hit four home runs to win the game 11-6 to ensure the AL Wild Card game will be in the Bronx.

The four home runs tied the single season team home run record and leaves them with two more games to hit one more long ball and set a new record.
