Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said that he’s been in contact with 27 other MLB clubs “to get a sense of what the other clubs are going to look to do in free agency.”

After the last couple of offseasons of slow and stagnant free agent markets the MLBPA had some issues with Anthopoulos’ comments.

Tony Clark, the executive director of the MLB Players’ Association, responded to the comments and will be investigating to see if there is any “club coordination.”
