Retired NBA players Monta Ellis and Amar’e Stoudemire are both attempting to make NBA comebacks. The two have a private workout setup for at least five NBA teams in Las Vegas on July 8th.
Ellis, 33, hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2016-17 season with the Indiana Pacers. While the 36-year-old, Stoudemire last played in the NBA with the Miami Heat in 2015-16.
Both NBA veterans are hoping to find roles on a contending team, like the Los Angeles Lakers.

If the Lakers do end up landing Kawhi Leonard, they will need a few guys to come in on veteran minimum contracts and play a handful of minutes a night.
It will be interesting to see how Los Angeles fills the rest of the roster with LeBron, Anthony Davis and Kawhi eating up almost all of the salary cap.
