A woman, who was the passenger in a car driven by NBA agent Dan Fegan at the time of a fatal car accident, is suing his estate.  The woman claims she ended up in a coma as a result of his negligence and will need medical care due to several injuries she suffered during the accident.

According to her account, Fegan was distracted by his cellphone at the time of the fatal accident and failed to stop at a stop sign.

Via The Blast:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Desiree Olea claims she was in the car on February 25, 2018 when Fegan was driving a rental Kia Sportage in Aspen, Colorado.

She claims Fegan failed to stop at a posted stop sign and crossed into the westbound lanes of a highway, causing the car to be struck by a bus. Fegan died as a result of his injuries.

Olea (who was identified as a nanny by local reports at the time of the accident) claims that Fegan was distracted and on his cell phone at the time of the crash.

Hopefully they reach an agreement quickly, if deemed proper, and Fegan’s family doesn’t have to go through too much.  These are really tough situations for the family of the man who is now deceased.
