Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently explained why he feels he surpassed Michael Jordan in the never-ending "Greatest Of All Time," which was naturally met with much criticism.

On the latest episode of "More Than An Athlete," LeBron pointed to how he led the Cavs to a 2016 NBA championship against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.

“I was like… that one right there made you the greatest player of all time.

Everybody was just talking — how [the Warriors] were the greatest team of all time, like it was the greatest team ever assembled. And for us to come back, you know, the way we came back in that fashion, I was like, ‘You did, you did something special.’ That’s probably one of the only times in my career I felt like, oh, [expletive], like you did something special.”

Not everyone was thrilled about LeBron's proclamation.

President of Basketball Operations, Danny Ainge is one of them.

During an interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich show, Ainge compared LeBron's GOAT remark to a "Donald Trump approach."

“His career's not over. I'd just like to (know) why he's saying that, I don't know. Maybe he thinks that that sells. Maybe he's taking the Donald Trump approach and trying to sell himself. I don't know."

Ainge continued:

"Obviously LeBron is in every conversation with who is the greatest player of all time. But time will tell. I don't know if anyone knows who the greatest of all time is, because the years are so different."

Can't wait to hear LeBron's response.

You know he can't just sit back and take it.

What would Trump do?
