Lakers superstar LeBron James would like to see his buddy Carmelo Anthony in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform, a league source told The Athletic's Joe Vardon.
The Houston Rockets parted ways with Anthony on Nov. 15, although he still remains on the team's payroll.
He can't be dealt until Dec. 15 because he signed as a free agent this past summer.
We've been posting Carmelo working out hard in NYC.
Sources told Vardon that no request has been made by James to Lakers president Magic Johnson or general manager Rob Pelinka.
When asked last month about the idea of Anthony joining the Lakers, James said it was "not a question to ask me."
James and Anthony have been close friends since both entered the NBA in 2003. This won't end well if they sign him.
