For the first the first time in the history of the Kentucky Derby the winner of the race was disqualified.  It was rules upon review that Maximum Security had broken the rules by impeding the path of other horses.

The second place horse Country House was then crowned as the winner of the Kentucky Derby.

The controversial ruling sparked plenty of reactions including one by the New Orleans Saints.  They are still crying about a no-call in the playoffs.

I can’t wait for the rule change to allow for reviews of missed penalties in the NFL to come back and cost the Saints a game or two.  It will be an amazing moment.
