Brazilian soccer player Neymar posted a picture of himself paying tribute to Stephen Hawking, who died at the age of 76 on Tuesday. In the picture Neymar is in a wheelchair while he recovers from a broken bone in his foot.
Included with the picture was a quote by Hawking.

The post didn’t sit well with people on Twitter and he caught plenty of heat for what is perceived to be an insensitive tweet.
It’s the height of self-centeredness to put Hawking’s death in terms of yourself. Neymar’s temporary wheelchair situation is profoundly minor compared to the lifetime wheelchair situation Hawking had. I’m sure Neymar meant no harm, but come on.
