The French Football Federation imposed the ban after Neymar appeared to punch a fan who was attempting to record him on his phone as the Brazilian made his way to collect his runners-up medal.

PSG were beaten 6-5 on penalties after surrendering a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Rennes, who then won the cup after a dramatic shoot-out.

PSG issued a statement calling the punishment “severe” and promising to appeal to the French Football Federation’s appeals committee.
The Brazilian’s suspension will begin on Monday, meaning he will miss PSG’s final two games against Dijon and Reims.
