The NFL was ready to lower the hammer on the Patriots organization and reportedly disappointed that they won’t be able to. The latest on the investigation into the Patriots employee who was filming the sidelines for a documentary on an advanced scout is that the NFL has found no evidence linking Bill Belichick or anyone else on Patriots football staff to the videotaping of the Bengals sideline.
The investigation could be wrapped up this week and despite no evidence, there will still be some sort of punishment handed down. The league could possibly consider taking a draft pick away from the Patriots or reducing the value of a pick.
