The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday evening that they have released running back Kareem Hunt following the release of a video showing him assaulting a woman.

The statement says the video confirms that the 23-year-old was not truthful with the team when he initially discussed the incident with the team.

Hunt’s release comes shortly after the NFL announced that they were placing him on the Commissioner’s Exempt List while they conducted an investigation.

We don’t expect a team to sign him, but as we saw with Reuben Foster, anything is possible.  After signing Foster, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if the Redskins made an attempt to sign Hunt.
