Testimony in the case against Michael Avenatti over claims he attempted to extort millions from Nike got very interesting yesterday.  A Nike consultant testified that the shoe company was involved in paying College Basketball players.

After the consultant’s testimony, Nike attorney Scott Wilson didn’t deny Nike’s involvement in paying College Basketball players.  He said he “never told the government there was no evidence of Nike making payments to players.”

There was further testimony and text messages that prove Nike was paying NBA prospects while they were still in college.
