Leave it to the Mets to have one of their top of the rotation pitchers go down with an injury while the league is riding out the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mets announced on Tuesday that Noah Syndergaard has a torn UCL that will require Tommy John surgery to repair.

The big righthander will miss all of the 2020 season, whenever it finally gets underway, and some of the 2021 season.
