When the Cubs and Rockies get together batters get hit with pitches.  On Wednesday, Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado took a fastball to the forearm and had to leave the game.

Arenado’s hit by pitch was in response to Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant being hit twice the day before and three times in the last two weeks.

After the game Arenando addressed the back and forth bean balls.  He promised a “spicy series” the next time the two teams meet each other.

“If we play them again, it would be a pretty spicy series.”

Unfortunately the two don’t have another series scheduled this season.  Maybe they will run into each other in the postseason.

The intensity of the playoffs would likely make the series extra spicy.  Who doesn’t want a few extra spicy postseason games?
