The Astros lost the World Series at the end of October and are losing Nolan Ryan at the beginning of November.  The Hall of Fame pitcher had been serving as an executive advisor to the owner.

Ryan stepped down after a front office shakeup on Thursday.  His son, Reid Ryan, was moved from his role as the team’s president to an executive adviser of business relations role.

Team owner Jim Crane then hired his son, Jared Crane, to help his oversee the executive team.
