Oklahoma quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray both won the Heisman Trophy and were the number one overall pick in the NFL draft and did so in back-to-back years.
The Sooners plan to pay tribute to the historical accomplishment by putting up statues for the two stars.
Oklahoma’s athletic director Joe Castiglione announced the additions during an interview with SportsTalk1400. It’s a well-deserved tribute to the former Sooners.
