Panthers safety Eric Reid signed a new three-year deal with Carolina in the off-season after a solid season with the team in 2018.  The former teammate of Colin Kaepernick with the 49ers who joined the blackballed quarterback in his National Anthem protests continued the protests last year and plans to do the same this season.

According to Reid, he will continue kneeling for the anthem as long as African-Americans are discriminated against or being killed over traffic violations.  Something he doesn’t see ending anytime soon.
