Prior to Peyton Manning signing with the Broncos back in 2012, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll tried really hard to sign the legendary quarterback.  He flew to Denver to meet with Manning and never got a meeting with him.

Peter King revealed this fact on this week’s episode of the Sports Illustrated podcast The Record.  After missing out on Manning, Carroll drafted Russell Wilson in the third round.
