A Philadelphia woman says she was not allowed into the Wells Fargo Center last Thursday for a 76ers game because of her outfit and she wants an apology.

Her name is Shaliah Rismay and says she was wearing stockings, a leotard and a leather jacket when she was stopped by security and not allowed to enter the arena until she covered up.

Via NBC10:

“They stopped us and said I couldn’t even go past the metal detectors and I couldn’t wear what I’m wearing,” Rismay said.

Rismay was with Philly photographer and marketing guru Big Rube at the time. He said he made it through security and recorded security officials as they spoke with Rismay.

Rismay said she was eventually let inside after Big Rube purchased a hoodie for her to wear and cover up. Rube said her attire was no different from what the Sixers cheerleaders wear every single game.

It sounds like the Sixers need a dress code.  If there’s no dress code policy, then you can’t stop people who are wearing leotards.  That being said, she clearly wanted attention and now she’s got it.
