Pirates Pitcher Jameson Taillon Took a 102 MPH Line Drive to the Head and Stayed in the Game

Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon was hit with a 102 MPH line drive in the head.  The rocket came off of Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo’s bat and ended up in centerfield for an RBI single.

Taillon managed to get a piece of his glove on the ball to avoid a direct shot.  He also managed to stay in the game, but probably wished he hadn’t.

Taillon’s defense let him down and the Cubs scored 6 unearned runs in the inning off of him.  Who knew the worst part of the inning for Taillon wouldn’t be a line drive to the skull?
