A little over one week after the death of Kobe Bryant, newly released 911 calls detail the moments immediately following the helicopter crash in Calabasas that killed the NBA superstar and eight other people.

Federal investigators said the helicopter carrying the NBA legend and eight others climbed and descended rapidly before slamming into a hill.

Several 911 callers reported hearing a crazy boom and eventually flames soon after the helicopter went down to the ground, according to audio released by the Los Angeles Fire Department on Monday.
