On Saturday morning, President Trump took to Twitter and congratulated San Francisco 49ers first-round draft pick Nick Bosa on being the number two overall draft pick. Prior to entering the draft, the defensive lineman scrubbed his social media accounts of any conservative leaning material, including some Make America Great Again tweet.
Trump also appeared to address Bosa’s social media scrubbing by telling the 21-year-old to “always stay true to yourself.”
Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft. You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

As the Bosa’s arrived at the airport, they weren’t addressing any of the pass rusher’s social media activity. They managed to ignore repeated questions about it and Colin Kaepernick, who he called a clown.
Via TMZ Sports:
As you know, Bosa called Colin Kaepernick a “clown” in August 2016, and not too long after, Trump blasted the then-San Francisco 49ers’ QB and urging team owners to fire the “sons of bitches” who dared to kneel.
The best thing for Bosa to do is exactly what he’s doing. Keep your mouth shut and play football. 49ers fans won’t care what his political beliefs are if he’s performing on the field.
As long as he’s doing that he should be fine. There will be certain members of the media who are going to try to keep the political stuff going, but ignoring them should be fairly easy, especially after the season gets started.
