The Oakland Raiders announced on Thursday evening that they have released veteran receiver Jordy Nelson.  The 33-year-old lasted just one season in the black and silver.

Nelson had 63 catches for 739 yards and just three touchdowns.  Not exactly numbers that lived up to the $10 million he was paid last season.

The addition of Antonio Brown, a legit number one target, made Jordy expendable.  No need to waste another $10 million on less targets.

Nobody would be surprised by a reunion in Green Bay with his good pal Aaron Rodgers.  The quarterback is running the show in Green Bay after all.
