The one win bowl on Thursday Night Football between the Raiders and 49ers ended in a blowout win for San Francisco.  The 49ers embarrassed Oakland 34-3 with a practice squad quarterback.

With second string quarterback C.J. Beathard unable to go with a wrist injury, practice squad QB Nick Mullens made his first career start for the 49ers.  He showed up ready to go and torched the Raiders defense.

Mullens finished the night with three touchdowns on 16/22 passing for 262 yards.  That’s what you call being fully prepared for your opportunity.

At 2-7 the 49ers need to give this kid some more starts to find out what they have.  The Raiders were a nice start but they aren’t exactly the cream of the crop in the NFL right now.
